Ross Palmer, Associate Director, Sustainable Infrastructure Middle East and Africa, EBRD will be participating in the Overcoming the Financial Barriers: Unlocking Finance for Synergistic Local Action event at the UNEA-7 Cities and Regions Summit. 

The session will highlight the need to align and accelerate finance to implement and scale up synergistic action that contributes to the global environmental goals and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The UNEA-7 Cities and Regions Summit is an associated event of the Seventh United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA-7) (Nairobi, 8-12 December 2025). Held annually since UNEA-4, the Summit convenes mayors, regional leaders, and urban sustainability experts from around the world to collaborate on the most pressing environmental issues, including climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. This year’s theme, “Global Ambition, Local Action”, emphasizes the critical role of local and regional governments in delivering integrated solutions and driving transformative environmental change from the ground up.
