Guelmim-Oued Noun joined the programme in 2023 with the signing of a trigger project, at COP 29, that will improve drinking water supply in rural areas and upgrade four existing wastewater treatment plants. Alongside this, Guelmim-Oued Noun will develop a Green City Action plan to identify and respond to its wider environmental challenges.
