The region joins the EBRD Green Cities programme in 2026, through the Bank’s subscription to a MAD 1 billion (€92.0 million) bond issuance in local currency as its trigger investment. Through the development of a Green City Action Plan, the Casablanca-Settat region aims to address its most pressing climate and environmental challenges, strengthen sustainable infrastructure, and improve its residents’ quality of life.
